Warmikuna means ‘women’ in Quechua. A group of women producers in Junín joined the Volcafe Way programme in 2010, and by 2022 the Warmikuna cluster had grown to 55 producers working to its agronomic standards, with six model farms used as training showcases. Junín bridges the Andes and the Amazon and is one of Peru’s most biodiverse regions. Washed Caturra, Catimor and Typica from 1,100 to 1,650 m; harvested March to June 2026.
