Our Story

From a small-town dream to your favorite morning ritual — Jitter House is where craft coffee, premium tea, and community come together.

Who We Are

Roasted with Purpose, Served with Heart

Jitter House Coffee & Tea started with a simple idea: Hoquiam deserved a coffee shop that actually cares about what goes into your cup. We roast in small batches, source from farms we trust, and brew every drink like it matters — because it does.

Whether you are a double-shot espresso purist or a lavender-latte dreamer, we have something for you. And if tea is your thing, we have got a whole wall of loose-leaf that will change your mind about what tea can be.

What Drives Us

Our Values

🌱

Ethically Sourced

Every bean and leaf is traceable back to farms that pay fair wages and use sustainable growing practices.

🔥

Small-Batch Roasted

We roast in-house in small batches so your coffee is always fresh, never sitting on a shelf for weeks.

🤝

Community First

We are not just a coffee shop — we are a gathering place. Local art on the walls, local people in the chairs.

How We Got Here

Our Journey

November 2024

A New Chapter Begins

Building on a strong foundation as a beloved small coffee shop, we expanded into the corner shop — complete with a large kitchen and our very own roastery. Same heart, way more room to brew.

December 2024

Beans Hit the Roaster

The roaster fired up and the learning began — refining profiles, exploring farms, curating origins, cupping, tasting, blending. Endless experiments led to a big decision: by early 2025, we switched entirely to site-roasted coffee.

Growing

Tea Joins the Family

Customers kept asking for tea. We did not just add tea bags — we built a full loose-leaf tea program with over 30 varieties.

Today

Still Brewing

New blends, seasonal specials, catering, online orders — we are always cooking up something new. The best cup is the next one.

Come Say Hi

Swing by one of our locations or browse our online shop. First-timers, we recommend the House Blend.
